Question

Just recently moved to online quickbooks online. Cannot get the statement to look like what i want. Will the "experts" create it for me?

Hi there, @Scooby21.

Let me help and provide information about customizing statements in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

To begin with, QBO doesn't allow customization of statements by experts. However, you can select 3 types of statements which are:

  • Balance Forward: Lists invoices and payments with outstanding balances for a specific date range.
  • Open Item: Lists all open, unpaid invoices from the last 365 days.
  • Transaction Statement: Lists all transactions for the selected date range.

To show the aging table at the bottom of the statement or to show a few customization options for statements:

  1. Go to Settings, and select Account and Settings.
  2. Select the Sales tab and go to the Statements section.
  3. Select Edit.
  4. Select List each transaction as a single line or List each transaction including all detail lines.
  5. Select the Show aging table at the bottom of the statement option.
  6. Select Save and Done.

For more detailed information about customer statements, you can check this article: Create and send customer statements in QBO.

I'll also add this article to guide you create purchase orders and sending them to your vendors: Create and send purchase orders.

I'll always be here, ready to back you up if you have any further questions about the statement or other QBO-related concerns. Please let us know any time in the thread. Keep safe!
