Landlord - Deduct property management and repair cost?
Recently I moved to using property managers for my real estate business, I'm a landlord. Because of this they collect rents, some repairs and billings that is then deducted from rents before they make a payment to me, I then pay some other billings as well. I want to continue to have full reporting as I have in the pass with gross income and expenses by building however I have not figure how to set this up without messing up the books - since the money does not transaction across the company account and thus unbalance the books.
I figure I can record the full rents as always have, income, but how to I apply the rest; repairs and such?
