My contractors are having trouble completing the W-9 and the direct deposit forms sent to them by QBO. Are there instructions that I can send to the contractors?

I know how essential it is for you to have a seamless process of completing the W-9 forms for your contractors, @dljllc-comcast-n, and I've got a way to help you achieve that.


Firstly, you'll have to send an invite to your contractors. This way, they can complete their profile and submit a signed W-9 once it's been filled out. 

 

Here's a quick guide on how:

 

  1. Go to the Payroll menu, then select Contractors.
  2. Choose Add a contractor.
  3. Enter the contractor's name and email in the fields provided, then select Add contractor. Your contractor will receive an email in real-time to fill out and submit their W-9 info.

Once done, your contractors can now fill out the W-9. It's my pleasure to show you how:

 

  1. Let them open the invite email and select the link.
  2. If they already have an account, select Sign in.
  3. Go to the Clients tab.
  4. Follow the steps to fill out and submit your W-9.
