Question

My mobile app has updated. It no longer has a place for p.o. number on the invoices. Anyone know if it's possible to get a po on the new invoicing?

Hi, @chefcordonblue-a. I recognize the importance of adding a PO number on the invoices in your QuickBooks Online mobile app.

 

Please be informed that the only way to include a PO number is by using the custom field option. Nevertheless, creating custom fields via the mobile app is not possible at the moment. As a workaround, you can add a PO number field using your browser.  Let me assist you with the process:

 

  1. Open your QuickBooks Online account using a browser.
  2. Click the Gear icon in the upper right corner.
  3. Select Custom fields.
  4. Tap Add field.
  5. Enter a name in the Name field. Example (PO number)
  6. Select the All Sales forms or Invoice checkbox. Or, select both.

  7. (Optional) To show the custom field on printed and delivered forms, turn on Print on form. Otherwise, it’ll only appear in QuickBooks Online.
  8. Press Save.

 

Once done, you are now able to enter a PO number on your invoices.

 

Moreover, I can see how having this option in the mobile app version can aid you in managing your business flawlessly. For now, I recommend sending your feedback to our Product Development Team so they can review it and consider implementing it in the future.

For Android devices:

 

  1. Select the Menu button.
  2. Tap the Gear icon.
  3. Click on the vertical ellipsis ⋮ in the upper-right corner.
  4. Choose Feedback.
  5. Type in your feedback and product suggestions.
  6. Hit Send Feedback.

For iOS devices:

 

  1. Go to the Menu ☰ icon, then select Help & Feedback.
  2. Choose App Feedback.
  3. Type in your feedback and product suggestions.
