Question

My old desktop version allowed me to add my signature to checks to be printed. So far, I have not found where I can do that on the on-line version. Is there a way?

I understand how useful it is to be able to add signatures on checks in QuickBooks Online, pschwend3131. Let me share a workaround for this functionality.

QuickBooks Online does not currently offer a built-in feature to digitally add signatures to printed checks. However, there are two workarounds that I'd like to recommend.

First, manually sign checks after printing. You can simply print the checks from QuickBooks Online and then physically sign them by hand before issuing them. This verifies your signature.

Second, use a third-party e-signature service integrated with QuickBooks Online. Several electronic signature applications can integrate with QBO, allowing you to apply a digitized version of your signature to checks electronically before printing.

Here's how to check for apps that are compatible with QBO:

  1. Go to the Apps menu.
  2. Type in E-signature.
  3. Click the magnifying glass to search.
  4. If you have found the app you're looking for, click Get App Now.

Moreover, if you wish to get a copy of your check directly, visit this article: Print a check in QuickBooks Online.

For future help, you can check this article on how to set up your print settings so you can print checks: Configure your print settings for printing checks in QuickBooks Online.
