I can provide clarification regarding your payroll transactions, fmsindoor.

Once you process payroll in QuickBooks, it will show as an expense. However, if you manually record these transactions through a journal entry, the recurring transactions will appear as JE. I'm adding some resources to explore the different methods of tracking payments made to workers:

To go back and change the previous payroll entries, you can run a report to locate the JE and correct it. I'll show you how.

  1. On the left navigational bar, go to the Reports menu.
  2. In the Search bar, type Journal as your keyword.
  3. Open the report and set the appropriate period.
  4. Click the Filter icon to filter by transaction type and choose journal entry under Value.
  5. Tap the transaction to make edits.

Here's an article about modifying statements to get the data you need: Customize reports in QuickBooks Online.

Check out this material to save your current report settings: Memorize reports in QuickBooks Online.

I'm just one post away if you need a hand managing paychecks or employees. I'll be here to ensure your success. Take care.
