This is an important feature, as it shows up in the register. Please advise how to turn this feature back on.

It looks like you're referring to a downloaded transaction, Barb15.

It may be the Copy bank detail to memo option is accidentally unchecked. Let's go ahead and select this feature again. This way, the memo field will be auto-populated by the info of the description field.

Here's how:

  1. Click Banking, then go to the Banking tab.
  2. Go to the For Review tab.
  3. Above the ACTION column, click the Gear icon.
  4. Tick the Copy bank detail to memo box.

Once done, you can continue to assign, categorize, edit, and add your downloaded banking transactions

If you need something else, don't hesitate to keep in touch.

Hi, @cjbsubsea.

You can open the Transaction List by Vendor report to get the information you need. I'll show you how.

  1. Open your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account, then click on Reports at the left pane.
  2. Tap the Transaction List by Vendor under Expenses and vendors.
  3. Filter the date of the report, then add the Memo/Description field from the small gear icon.
  4. You can also customize the type of transaction you want to display from the Customize tab.
  5. Hit Run report to refresh the page.

From there, you'll be able to see the bank details under the Memo/Description field.

For additional hints about managing your reports in QBO, you can open this article: Run reports in QuickBooks Online.

On the other hand, you can also check out the details from this link to learn more about handling banking transactions in QBO: Find help with bank feeds and reconciling accounts.

If you have any other questions about your reports and banking transactions, please notify me by adding a comment below. I'm more than happy to help. Have a good one!
