Question

My sku's are gone on Invoices. I cannot enter them to make an invoice. Any idea what can have changed?

You'll need to turn on the SKU function to display it when creating an invoice, speedythreads. I'll guide you through the process and explain how this feature works.

 

If you're using the Old Invoice layout, we can enable the feature by going to the QuickBooks settings. Here's how:

 

  1. From the Cog Wheel, choose Account and Settings.
  2. Click the Sales tab and go to the Products and Services section.
  3. Toggle the Show SKU column to turn it on.
  4. Click Save and Done.

 

If you're currently using the New Invoice layout, here's how to turn on the feature:

 

  1. Click the +New button and choose Invoice.
  2. Go to the Manage Gear icon.
  3. Select Customization, then toggle the SKU.

 

You can enter the SKU number when creating a product/service item. It will auto-populate in your invoices when selecting an item. Thus, entering it in the SKU field when creating an invoice isn't possible.
