Hey there, @trocky.
Thank you for sharing your concern in the QuickBooks Community and providing a screenshot. I'm happy to offer insights on the potential cause of credit balance in your customer's account in QuickBooks.
The balance that's showing in the customer's account depends on the transactions that you've created inside QuickBooks.
To investigate the cause of the credit balance in your customer's account, I recommend running the Customer Balance Detail report. Then, carefully review each transaction along with the associated accounts used in them. This will help us identify the potential source of the credit balance in your customer's account.
Here's how to access the report:
- Go to the Reports menu.
- Select Customers & Receivables.
- Click Customer Balance Detail report.
I also recommend reaching out to your accountant so they can assist you in reviewing the list of your customer's transactions. They can individually examine each transaction to help identify the potential cause of the credit balance.
Furthermore, you can generate various sales reports in QuickBooks Desktop to effectively track your business's sales.
If you have any additional questions about reviewing your customer's balance in QuickBooks, please add them to this conversation, and I'll be happy to assist you further. Have a great day.
