New Customer On Reports

I just set up a new customer, and I am trying to set up one of my custom reports to include the new customer to the filter.  When I pull up the customers on the filter, my new customer is not showing up.  How do I get my new customer included in this report?

Let's work together to ensure that your new customer information appears on your custom report in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

 

Let's start by reviewing the configuration of your custom report. It's possible that the report was set to a reporting period when the customer has not made any transactions yet, or the filters were set to specific customers. To resolve this, ensure that the filters are set to include all customers and select a reporting period that includes transactions for the new customer. Once you've customized the report as needed, click on Refresh report.

If the new customer still isn't showing up on the report, it could be a browser issue causing some pages not to load properly. To isolate this, let's open your QBO company in a private browser. You can use the following shortcut keys:

 

  • For Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • For Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • For Internet Explorer: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • For Safari: Command + Shift + N

 

After that, run your custom report once again. If everything works smoothly, I recommend going back to your regular browser and clearing its cache. Alternatively, you can also use other supported browsers.
