New Layout: How do I use a custom Estimate number? There is no longer an option to fill in the Estimate number, and there is no option to revert to the old layout.

Hey there, @randomone99!

I'm more than happy to help you out with customizing your estimate numbers in QuickBooks Online.

Ideally, generating estimate numbers automatically is a neat feature in QuickBooks Online. But if you prefer to have your estimate numbers in a specific format, you can easily customize them by adjusting your settings. Here's how you can do it:

  1. Go to Settings, then select Account and settings.
  2. Choose Sales.
  3. In Sales form content, select Edit ✎.
  4. Turn Custom transaction numbers on or off.
  5. Select Save, then click Done.

By customizing these settings, you can achieve a more personalized estimate numbering system within QuickBooks Online.

On the other hand, reverting to the old layout may not be possible, so it's best to send feedback for consideration in future updates. Follow the steps below:

  1. Select Settings, then Feedback.
  2. Enter your comments or product suggestions. Then select Next to submit feedback.

Your valuable feedback goes to our Product Development team to help improve your experience in QuickBooks Online. You can track feature requests through the QuickBooks Online Feature Requests website.
