Question

On the QB App how do I add a billable expense to an invoice? The app doesn't show the receipt to add like QBO does.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention, Greenbelt. The QuickBooks app does not support adding a billable expense to an invoice. I suggest providing feedback through the web to our product developers to request the addition of this feature.

The ability to add billable expenses to an invoice straight from the mobile app would improve our workflow and efficiency, especially when we're on the go. Our product developers regularly review user feedback for future updates.

To send your input, here's how:

  1. Open your QuickBooks Online account.
  2. Go to the Gear icon located at the top-right corner of your screen.
  3.  Under the Profile section, select Feedback.
  4. Type in your suggestions and then click on Next.

In the meantime, I recommend using the QuickBooks web version to add billable expenses to invoices.
