P & L Shows No Income

I regularly send out invoices and have them paid. They are correctly recorded as deposited and paid invoices once they are paid. Yet my profit and loss statement show zero income. How do I make the P&L accurately reflect my income?

Welcome to the Community, @storeynd.

Let me provide information for you to see the income in your Profit and Loss (P&L) report in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

Firstly, I suggest ensuring that the date filter for the report is accurate when generating the P&L report. Then, verify that the specific invoice transaction date you want to include in the report is also accurate.

Here's how to filter the Profit and Loss report to show the income:

  1. Go to the left navigation panel, and select Reports.
  2. In the reports interface, type Profit and Loss Detail in the search section and click it.
  3. Select Customize and filter the Report Period to the correct one.
  4. Select the Filter option and choose the All Income/Expense Accounts in the Distribution Account.
  5. Once done, select Run Report.

However, If the income still won't show in the report, let's try some troubleshooting steps to determine whether the issue is related to your browser. Please open an incognito window to prevent your browsing history from being saved.

You can use the following keyboard shortcuts based on the type of browser you are using:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N

Alternatively, you can use any other supported, up-to-date browser to ensure the best experience with QuickBooks.
