PayPal and Credit Card Duplicates

I have a PayPal account that is linked to my credit card. My PayPal and Credit Card are both in Quickbooks. When everything is imported into Quickbooks, I go through each account and categorize the transactions. However, the same transactions are duplicated in PayPal and the Credit Card. I can't "match" the transactions, because the dates don't match. The PayPal transaction is usually one day before the Credit Card transaction. What is the best way to navigate the duplicate transactions? It's not easy going through each account separately and trying to remeber and figure out which transaction to exclude. Any help is appreciated, thank you!

1) Import one of the accounts first, and along the way use the other account's account as the 'expense' account for the transaction, creating a transfer.  Then import the other account and match the transfer that now exists with the imported version of the transfer, which will eliminate the duplicates.

2) Do what you're doing now, but then delete all of the transfers from one of the accounts, and then add the that account account to the remaining transfers in the other account.

Another option, use a 3rd party connector to reconcile Paypal transactions and avoid any duplication.
