Question

Paypal is set up as a bank on our QBO. Our Shopify sales used to come in with the receipt number and it stopped. How do I get the receipt number to show again?

Hey there, Kell.

We can collaborate to ensure your Shopify sales receipt numbers reappear in the bank feeds.

In QuickBooks Online, the transaction information displayed in the bank feeds depends on your bank or PayPal account's data. As you mentioned, the receipt numbers were previously visible but have now disappeared, let's review the columns and transaction details shown in the bank feeds. To check and get the receipt number to show again, you can follow the steps below:

  1. Go to Transactions, then select Bank Transactions.
  2. Select the tile for your PayPal account.
  3. In the For Review tab, click the Gear icon.
  4. Select Check No. in the Columns section.
  5. In the Transaction details section, select Show bank details.

On the other hand, if the previous steps didn't resolve the issue and the receipt numbers remain invisible, I suggest reaching out to Shopify's customer support to review the transaction details configured for your account.
