Is there a way/option to print the invoice history on the actual invoice?

Welcome back to the QuickBooks Community, BeckyB19. I'll be sharing details on how invoice works in QuickBooks. Then, I'll ensure you can send feedback so our product developers can consider adding the feature you need in the next updates.

There's an option to add an account summary to an invoice in QuickBooks. This lets your customers see the total amount paid to date, balance forward, new charges, and total amount due when printing the actual invoice. However, the said feature is only available in QuickBooks Online and is currently unavailable for the Desktop version.

For now, I suggest going to the Help icon in QBDT and choose Send Feedback Online from there. Then, submit a request about having the option to print the invoice history on the actual invoice. Any recommendations are sent to our engineers for consideration in future updates.

Lastly, you may refer to this article to see steps on how you can QuickBooks Desktop provides different reports that cater to your business needs like viewing all existing invoices in QBDT: Understand reports.

Keep me posted if you need further assistance managing your sales transactions in QBDT. I'm always around to help, BeckyB19. Have a great day!

Hi. Thank you for your response.  Does the new upgraded version of Enterprise Solutions 23.0 have this feature?

Thanks for coming back, BeckyB19.

There is no estimated date for when QuickBooks Desktop will have the account summary function. You can visit our Firm of the Future site. This is the best place to visit when it comes to discussions about plans for our product and how to meet the customers' needs and demands. Also, you can check out the New Feature section on your QuickBooks to get information regarding the latest product improvements. Here's how:

  1. Click on Help at the top menu bar.
  2. Select New Features.
  3. Tap New Feature Tour.

If you need to print the invoices, just go to the Print Forms section. Let me guide you on how:

  1. Click File at the top menu bar and choose Print Forms.
  2. Select Invoice.
  3. From the Invoices to Print window, select the invoices for the last five years.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to print the invoices.

However, if you don't see these transactions from there, you'll need to open the invoices one at a time, then put a check-mark in the Print Later box. This way those items are added to the print queue.

You can always get back to me if you need additional assistance while printing your invoices in QuickBooks Desktop. I'll be more than willing to lend you a hand. Have a good one.
