Hi there, @ndedinas.
You'll want to make sure that you set up your fiscal year correctly before setting up a budget. This way, all the information will show, and you can seamlessly review your last years data.
Here's how:
- Go to the Company menu and choose My Company.
- Click the pencil icon and then Report Information.
- Make sure the first month of your fiscal year is correct.
Then, you can now review last fiscal year's financial reports.
- Go to the Reports menu and hover over Company & Financial.
- Choose Profit & Loss Detail or Balance Sheet Detail depending on what you want to forecast or budget for.
- From the Dates dropdown, select Last Fiscal Year.
- Hit Refresh.
Once done, you can now set up a budget. For complete details, you can refer to this article: Create a budget or forecast in QuickBooks Desktop.
