qbo file dowloads as pdf

Would anyone know how to stop a qbo file to download as pdf? we are selecting to export as QBO file however when it download on our downloads folder it shows up as a PFD. how can I solve this?

The option to download the .qbo file in QuickBooks is unavailable. However, if you downloaded the file from the Banks website, you can export it to Excel or PDF.

Reply/answer was not helpful. Downloading QBO files from Wells Fargo and they are downloading as PDFs. How do you get them to download and regular old QBO files. Thx

I understand the importance of uploading your file from Wells Fargo Bank into QuickBooks Online, DowntownJoe. Allow me to help you.

 

You can request your bank to download the file as CSV type, if ever they won't provide the file format then you can use a third-party file converter tool by visiting the Apps menu. From there, you can see all our supported applications including a file converter. You can search for one that you can use to make your PDF file a support one.

 

Also, if you have a PDF format already, you can convert it into a CSV file by simply copying the data from the PDF and pasting it to Excel, then saving it using the CSV format. You can check the detailed steps here: Format CSV files in Excel to get bank transactions into QuickBooks.
