Quickbooks can't print a report with transactions and receipt

I just contact Quickbooks about how to print a report that shows my transactions and receipt images. I want to have a paper file with all transactions for the year with their reciepts (I have not been saving receipts once they were uploaded...rookie mistake because now I am burned by quickbooks).  there is no way to do this....you have to go back to EACH transaction and print receipts 1 by 1.

    Hi Dmccarthy76,

I may have a solution that will help you. The reports available in the left toolbar of QuickBooks will report list and transaction data only; but in QuickBooks Online, you can print a list of attachments that shows a thumbnail of the receipt image along with basic information about the transaction that it is attached to.

    To get that list:

    • Go to the gear in the upper right-hand corner of QuickBooks
    • Under the All Lists section, choose Attachments
    • Click the little printer icon in the upper right-hand corner of the attachments table

Hi John, I have basically the same need here. But I am using Quickbooks Self Employed version. I would like to be able to output all the transactions with their associated receipts for a Court case. Is there a way to do this in the SE version? (otherwise this will take me days to complete one by one).

Or, can I move my data from QBSE to Quickbooks Online and do what you outlined here?

    Thanks Andy

    Hi Andy,

I'll do all that I can to make this process as simple as possible for you.

At this time, you can export your list of transactions, sorted by whether they have attached receipts or not. Here's how:

    • Go to Transactions on the left navigation panel.
    • Click the Attachments (paper clip) icon on the right so that the arrow is facing down.
    • Click the Export icon just above and to the right of the attachment icon.
    • Now you can print out these transactions.

At this time, each receipt will need to be printed one-by-one if you're using QuickBooks Self-Employed. Since you already have the transactions list filtered by attachments, you can click the arrow on the right to expose the transaction details, and click the Download icon next to the receipt.

Since QuickBooks Self-Employed and QuickBooks Online were created for two separate business entities, they do not integrate at this time. The following article has more information about this policy, as well as details on what can be exported: https://selfemployed.uservoice.com/knowledgebase/articles/453178-switch-to-another-version-of-quickbooks.

Please let me know if there is anything else I can do to lend a hand.
