Quickbooks com error during landed cost

Hi all!

I usually get daily com errors when I try to allocate landed cost. It's the only area in quickbooks that I've experienced trouble in. I've done the repair of file and no issues found, but this keeps happening. We do a ton of work with materials from vendors and landed cost is very important to ensure proper costing.

I don't get the error all the time, it seems pretty random. It happened probably about 4-5 times a week and is super annoying. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?

Thanks,

Hi there. Let’s perform these troubleshooting steps if you haven't done this so you can start allocating the landed cost in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT).

To get started, open QuickBooks with all windows closed so it will re-open any windows left open when you close your company file. If you have a large report or several windows set to open automatically, you can see an unrecoverable error on startup.

Here's how:

  1. Open QuickBooks Desktop.
  2. In No Company Open, select your company file.
  3. Press and hold ALT on your keyboard and then select Open. Don’t let go of ALT until the file opens. If QuickBooks asks you to sign in, release ALT and enter your password. Press and hold ALT again and select OK.

For a detailed step-by-step guide, refer to this article: Troubleshoot Unrecoverable Error XXXXX XXXXX.

If the issue persists, I'd recommend contacting our Customer Support Team. They're equipped with tools to check your file and investigate this. They can also determine its cause to ensure it won't happen again.

Additionally, I've added an article that'll help you manage and calculate your landed cost in QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise. This way, you can keep your record accurate:
