Question

QuickBooks doesn't automatically create sales receipt for customers from square app transactions.

QuickBooks stopped to provide automatically sales receipt number for customers which I import from the square app transactions (I did the integration a long time ago). This issue has been since 01/01/2023!  I tried to contact them, but it seems that there is no one who really understand the problem. Big problem!

I appreciate you for sharing your concern with us, @MosesA. Let's work together to troubleshoot your issue with the sales receipt number in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

First, let's refresh the connection between Square and QBO by disconnecting and reconnecting the app. Here's how:

  1. Go to App and select My Apps.
  2. Click Sync with Square.
  3. Go to the Actions dropdown and select Disconnect.
  4. Choose the reason for disconnecting, then Confirm disconnect.
  5. Once done, reconnect your Square account to QBO.

Should the issue persist after reconnecting, I recommend getting in touch with our customer support team. They have the necessary tools to identify the root cause and guide you through the resolution process. If needed, they can initiate an investigation into the matter.

Furthermore, you can run reports in QBO to gain valuable insights into your purchases, sales, and inventory status.

Please don't hesitate to reach out to us if you have other concerns about sales receipt numbers. The Community is available 24/7 to assist you. Have a good one.

I disconnected the square app from QuickBooks and connected it again. Still, I don't have sales receipt automated numbers!

I believe that you must expedite the case, too your development/ engineering department, to solve this issue.
