Question

Quickbooks format on my iPad changed for the worse and I don’t understand why. Each widget is vague and doesn’t offer the same specifics as before. I tried updating. Help

It's a good thing you posted your concern here, @chargeitelectric. I want to ensure you'll be able to have the format you want for your widgets in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

Before doing so, can you send us a screenshot of your concern so we can have a clearer picture of what you're referring to?

If you're using the browser from your iPad, we can do some troubleshooting steps to fix this. We can start by accessing your QBO using a private (incognito) window. Doing so will determine if this has something to do with your browser. You can use these keyboard shortcuts to save time:

  • Mozilla Firefox: CTRL + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: CTRL + Shift + N
  • Google Chrome: CTRL + Shift + N
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N

Once signed in, check if your widgets are clear. If so, that's good news. You can return to your regular browsing history and clear the cache. Otherwise, you can try other supported browsers to help narrow down the cause of this behavior.

Also, you can always customize your widget format based on your preference. Just click the Customize layout box to modify it. See the screenshot below for your reference.

Moreover, if you’re referring to the mobile app on your iPad, I suggest clearing your app data on your device to refresh the system and rectify the common issues that cause the unusual behavior. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Menu icon and tap Help & Feedback.
  2. Select Refresh Data.
  3. If you get a prompt message: "Caution. If there was a problem getting your latest QuickBooks Online data, you can refresh it now. It may take a few minutes.”
  4. Click Refresh to confirm.

After that, restart your mobile phone then log back in. If you get the same result, uninstall and reinstall the QuickBooks app.

Moreover, I'm adding this article to learn the navigation access in your QuickBooks account: Understand the navigation menu in QuickBooks Online.

Fill me in if you have more questions about your QuickBooks format or any other concerns related to it, @chargeitelectric. I'll be around to provide the necessary help.
