EX:  all IGS should go under Utility: Electricity.  QB is saying "Another rule is already using this name. Please use a different name."  It's the SAME THING... nothing is different!  Same name, same category!  But QB will not allow it! Ugh!!

It's indeed important to be able to add all of the necessary items in the same category, Steph. I'm here to provide some information regarding this matter.

In QuickBooks Online (QBO), you can create a rule with the same category. Please know that you'll need to enter a different name for your rule to avoid having the said error. In addition, you can either change the name or add some letters to have a different rule name.

Moreover, you may also view this guide to learn more about the rule: Set up bank rules to categorize online banking transactions in QuickBooks Online

Furthermore, you can set price rules to set pricing rules for specific products and services.
