1) I had the details of the invoice appear in the body of the email.  Now it's gone and I can't get it back.

2) I was trying to get the sub customer name to display on the email page.  Still can't get this because I screwed up in #1 above.

The context of the emailed QuickBooks Online (QBO) invoice can be shown in different formats, Chris2710. Let me fill you in with these details and help you display this information with your sub-customer name.

In QBO, you have to set your email options in the Online Delivery section to Show full details in an email to view the overall context of the invoice. This adjustment ensures that the details appear directly in the body. To do that, you can follow the steps below:

  1. Sign into your QBO account.
  2. Go to the Gear Icon, then choose Account and Settings.
  3. Select Sales, then go to the Online Delivery section.
  4. Click on the pencil icon to Edit.
  5. Put a checkmark on the circle beside Show full details in an email and PDF attached.
  6. In the Additional Mail options for invoices dropdown, choose Online Invoices.
  7. Once done, click Save.

Moreover, to display the sub-customer name on the email page, you have to manually add it to the Subject line when sending the invoice. Here's a visual reference on where to add it:

Additionally, you'll start receiving customer payments after sending them invoices. To record them, refer to this article: Record invoice payments in QuickBooks Online.

Feel free to respond to this thread with your QBO emailed invoice details questions or inquiries. I'll be here to answer them promptly.
