Report by Customer with serivice/product listed?

I want to be able to print a report by customer that shows the service/product from the sales receipt. Right now I can find/customize reports with the type of transaction, but I can't find a way to get the service listed on the report. Is there a way?

The Sales by Customer Detail report is currently available in the Essentials, Plus, and Advanced versions of QuickBoks Online, BalaEmily. 

 

You might be using the Simple Start version since you only have the summary report. You'll want to consider upgrading your subscription to get the detailed report. Follow the steps on how you can do it:

 

  1. Click the Gear icon and select Account and Settings.
  2. Proceed to the Billing & Subscription tab.
  3. In the QuickBooks Online section, select Upgrade.
  4. Choose the next plan you want, and select Upgrade.
  5. Confirm your payment information and select Save.

Once done, go back to the Reports menu and check if you can already see it. You can also refer to these articles if you need to customize or memorize reports:

We can pull up the Sales by Customer Detail report and customize this to add the product/service with its transaction type which is the sales receipt.

 

Now, let's go to Reports on the left panel and enter Sales by Customer Detail in the Search field.

 

Then, let's proceed to customize this report. Let us follow the following steps below to add the product/service and the sales receipts used by the item:

 

  1. Click the Customize button at the upper right corner.
  2. Click the Filter section.
  3. Put a check inside the Transaction Type box and the Product/Service box as well.
  4. Click the drop-down arrow for the Transaction Type and tick the Sales Receipt option.
  5. For the Product/Service, click the drop-down arrow and select All.
  6. Then, click the Run Report at the bottom.

 

To print this report, simply click the Print icon. I've added a  screenshot below for your additional reference:

This is helpful, but unfortunately I don't have Sales by Customer Detail. I only have Sales by Customer Summary. Could this be based on the level of QB online that I have?
