Report - clients with more than one invoice (client retention)

I am interested in determining my client retention rate and wondering if there is report I can run that will list the number of transactions (invoices) PER client over a 15 year period or better yet, the number of clients for which I have created more than one invoice for?  Thanks!

You can pull the Transaction List by Customer report to view the number of transactions and clients you've invoiced, @bliss99.

This report shows all transactions you've made inside your QuickBooks Desktop company file. Let me help you customize this so you can run your desired report.

  1. Open your company file.
  2. Go to Reports,  then Customers & Receivables.
  3. Select Transaction List by Customer report.
  4. To customize the dates, click the From and To fields.
  5. Head to Customize Report and choose the Filter tab.
  6. Click the Search Filters field and write Transaction type.
  7. Select Invoice in the dropdown selection beside the Filter section.
  8. Go to the Search Filters field again, then write Name.
  9. Choose All customers/jobs on the dropdown, then All on the Active Status.
  10. Hit OK when done.

You can also check out this article if you want your report settings to be identical to your customized report: Create, access, and modify memorized reports.
