To show both inventory and service/non-inventory items listed on open sales orders in QuickBooks Desktop, you'll need to customize your report, Brita. The process involves adjusting display settings and applying specific filters. Follow the steps below to personalize your Open Sales Orders report and include all relevant item types.

Here's how:

  1. Open QuickBooks Desktop.
  2. Go to Reports > Sales, and choose Open Sales Orders by Item.
  3. In the upper left corner of the screen, click Customize Report.
  4. Navigate to the Filters tab.
  5. In the search bar, type Item and select it.
  6. From the Item dropdown, choose Multiple items.
  7. Check the boxes for service, non-inventory, or inventory items you want to include in your report.
  8. Click OK to apply the changes.
