Trying to create a custom report that looks similar to the attached example.  Suggestions are appreciated.

I understand you're trying to create a custom report to show monthly expenses by GL accounts and vendors similar to the example you've attached, @NCNM. I suggest generating a Transaction List by Vendor report as the closest option to the Online report you are looking for. This report can help you view your monthly expenses broken down by accounts and vendors.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Go to Reports.
  2. Enter Transaction List by Vendor in the Search bar.
  3. Click Filter.
  4. Select Account in the first drop-down, then Equals in the second drop-down, and choose your GL accounts in the third drop-down.
  5. Group Date by month



     

Moreover, you can export the report to Excel, allowing you to organize the data in the same format as the example you provided.
