I need to have a report built in quickbooks enterprise that compares the prior 3 years.  Anyone have any idea how to do this?

To better achieve your goal, could you please specify which report you would like to access and modify in QuickBooks Desktop? This will help us provide a precise solution.

 

In the meantime, you can access the Custom Summary Report to do a three-year comparison of your transaction. Here's how:

 

  1. Go to Reports and select Custom Reports.
  2. Click Summary.
  3. Select Date and choose All.
  4. Custom the date range to a period of three years and click OK.
  5. From the Show Columns drop-down list, choose Year.

Well, that was a promising start to your answer, but then you didn't follow through and actually do it. Your answer in no way addresses the OP's question.

I've been working with QuickBooks reports for 30 years and I too would absolutely love to know how to create a report that compares the prior three years!
