Search invoices older than one year

I am cleaning up some old invoices in our files. I have in the past been able to do a search for any invoice and it will come up. Now, beside the Date Filter it has 8/23/2019--and has no option for searching back further. When did this change? And more importantly, how can I get this option back???? Thank you.

Getting your old invoice in QuickBooks Online is my top priority here. Thus, you can review the past transactions quickly. 

 

QuickBooks has recently updated certain options and filter buttons for up to 2 years backwards. That's why, you're unable to search the invoices back further. Also, there's no specific time when the updates start. As an alternative, I'd recommend running the Transaction List by Customer report in your account. Then customize the date to show your old transactions. Let me show you how. 

  1. Go to the Report tab on the left side. 
  2. Type the said report in the search box, then click the Customize button.
  3. Pick either All Dates or Custom in the Report period drop-down.
  4. In the Transaction Type, choose Invoice. 
  5. Filter the necessary fields and hit Run report.
