I believe I am entitled to a legal confirmation that my forms 1099 have been filed when I pay QBO to e-file them. I have been charged but my contractors have not not received copies and my account says they forms are accepted. hould I dispute this charge with CC?

I understand how important it is to ensure that your 1099 forms are properly e-filed and that your contractors receive them promptly, @susan.siegel.

After successfully doing the 1099 e-filing process, QuickBooks sends an email or mail a printed copy to your contractors. If your contractors still haven't received their 1099s after a week you've seen the Received by IRS, I encourage contacting our Customer Care Support team. This way, they can help dispute a charge in a secure environment for the service you paid for and wasn't provided. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Help (?) icon and choose the Search tab.
  2. Select Contact Us.
  3. Describe your concern and click Continue.
  4. Choose between Chat with us and Have us call you.

I'm adding this article as a future reference in correcting 1099-NEC or 1099-MISC forms after you e-filed them: Correct or change 1099s in QuickBooks.

If you need further assistance or have other questions related to 1099 e-filing, we're always here in the Community. Take care.
