Tags reporting

Hi all. I am not sure if tags' reporting has been improved yet, but here is my question.

I run the attached report from transactions/tags/see all untagged transactions and made the following filters as per attached screenshot. This report gives me all information I need, but sadly there is no option to export this to excel. Even more, when I tried to print it out to pdf, it only prints the first screen page (I have 11 pages in total). Could you please let me know how I can get exactly these information downloaded to excel? I have to mention that I already run transactions by group report - not what I need. Thank you :)

It's great to see you back in the Community. Let work to figure this problem out. 

 

You should be able to export your report from the menu on the top right of the list. Here's what it'll look like: 

 

 

If you don't see this, do you currently have Excel on your computer? If not, this may be the reason why you don't have this option. 

 

You can always try different steps to export this information to Excel. Here's a guide that can help out: Export reports, lists, and other data from QuickBooks Online.

thanks, but my report is NOT under reports tab. It is not "transactions by tag group". The one I am running is under settings gear/tags and apply filters.

I can share some information about exporting this transaction by tag report from the Gear icon, @AnnaSroka.

 

The option to export the report to an excel file would be a great addition to the current features that we have, so I'll take note of it.

 

In the meantime, you can only print the report in PDF format. 

 

I also encourage you to leave the feedback from within the product. Here are the steps:

 

  1. Go to the Gear icon and select Feedback.
  2. Provide your product suggestion. 
  3. Click on Next to submit feedback.

See this article for more information about running and customizing your reports: Customize reports in QuickBooks Online.

 

Once done, you can save the report with the filters you set: Memorize reports in QuickBooks Online. It'll save your time when generating this report in the future.

I have same query which I note is nearly two years after Anna posted hers.

How difficult is it for Intuit to make an export to Excel function for Transactions by Tag?!

I can see the importance of being able to make an Export function for Transactions by Tag using QuickBooks Online. I recommend sending a request for this since the functionality is a great tool for your business. By doing this, our product engineering team will be notified about this and might consider adding this feature in the upcoming updates. To send a feedback, here's how:

 

  1. Go to the Gear icon and choose Feedback.
  2. Enter your product suggestion. 
  3. Click Next to submit feedback.
