Hi, I have the basic Soloprenuer with QB online and can not locate the " tags" feature in settings.  I have watched videos and it should be under the " list" column but I do not have that option either    Do I need Essentials to have this feature?

It's nice to welcome a new QuickBooks Community member, tlfreeman. While the QuickBooks Solopreneur product does not include tags, this feature is available across all other QuickBooks Online (QBO) plans. Let me explain this further.

 

QuickBooks Solopreneur is a distinct offering within the QuickBooks Online product lineup, specifically for solo entrepreneurs. Unlike the other QBO plans—Simple Start, Essentials, Plus, and Advanced—Solopreneur requires a separate subscription and is not included in any QBO plan.

 

While tags aren't available in QuickBooks Solopreneur, this feature is included in all other QBO plans. You might consider upgrading to the Simple Start or Essentials plan to access this functionality. Please note once you upgrade, you cannot downgrade back to QuickBooks Solopreneur due to irreversible changes in your books. Returning to Solopreneur would require a new subscription and setup.

Thank you so much.  Hubby has decided to become a single member LLC at the first of the year so I went ahead and upgraded to Essentials.  So many more options with this package.  Thanks again for your help.
