We've got a couple of troubleshooting solutions for your customers to pay the invoices, Julians.

We can review the online delivery settings of your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account to ensure your customers can see the Pay invoice button. Let me guide you on how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon and choose Accounts and Settings.
  2. From the Sales tab, tap the Online delivery section to edit.
  3. Ensure to select Online invoice in the Additional email options for invoices.
  4. Click the Save button.
  5. Press Done.

Then, ensure your QuickBooks Payments account is still active and connected to your QBO account. If everything's good, proceed with reviewing your payment options by following Step 2 of this article: Take and process payments in QuickBooks Online with QuickBooks Payments.

We can also send your invoices through a private/incognito window (if you haven't tried it already). The private window will not save any history which makes it a good place to identify browser problems. To save you time, use either of these keyboard shortcuts:

  • Google Chrome: press Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: press Command + Shift + N

If they can see the button using a private browser, go back to your regular browser and clear its cache. This is the best way to get a clean slate for your browser. If the same thing happens, we can use other supported browsers.

Moreover, you can check out this article to personalize and add specific info to your invoice and other form styles in the program: Customize invoices, estimates, and sales receipts in QuickBooks Online.

Keep us posted if you need additional assistance with invoice payments or any QuickBooks-related concerns. We'll be around if you need help. Have a good one.
