You've raised your issue in the right forum, @malvogel.

I see how valuable on your end to fix the issue of sending and saving invoices in QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE). Let's address this issue as soon as possible.

Before anything else, I'd like to know if there's a specific error shown when you try to save or send your invoices.

In the meantime, let's perform some basic troubleshooting steps. Start by sending invoices via QBSE Test Drive to another browser. You can click this link to log in: https://selfemployed.intuit.com/createTestDriveUser

If you can send and save an invoice there, let's try logging in to your account through a private browser to determine if this is a browser-related issue. Also, this doesn't store cache files that cause lag.

Here are the shortcut keys:

  • Google Chrome: press Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: press Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Safari: press Command + Shift + N

Once it works, clear the cache of your default browser to remove accumulated data. If the issue persists, utilize another supported browser or device. It might be the current one you're using has a temporary issue with the program.

You might want to learn how to create a new transaction from a receipt image. Feel free to read this article: Record or attach expense receipts in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

Leave a comment below if you have additional questions about managing your invoices. I'll be willing to lend a hand. Keep safe always.
