Question

The new reports aren't wide enough.

I created a custom report and hid the fields I don't need. The report isn't wide enough, though. I have a large screen. When I maximize my browser, my expectation is that the report will fill the available space in QuickBooks Online. I tried resizing the columns but just shrinks the column next to the one I am resizing. Anyone else having this issue where the new reports aren't filling the width of the available screen?

Thank you joining us in this thread, @wreade78.

I am aware of the advantages for businesses like yours for the reports to maximize and adjust with the available screen. I want QuickBooks Online (QBO) to have this feature as much as you do.

But QBO is still unable to show that way. However, I strongly urge you to share your thoughts with our software engineers. They carefully examine customer feedback, especially when determining how to improve QuickBooks.

Here's how:

  1. Sign-in to your QuickBooks Online account.
  2. Go to the Gear icon and select Feedback.
  3. Type in your suggestion and click Next.

Is this really the answer? The new QB Online reports aren't readable because they are a fixed width?

Hello there, personnel. I can share more details on how to view your reports wider.

I understand the significance of being able to read and view your reports clearly. Reports in QuickBooks Online have fixed widths. To view them wider, you can try hiding the left navigation panel so the reports will occupy your screen. Here's how:

  1. Go to Reports.
  2. Choose the reports you want to view.
  3. Click the collapse icon on the upper left corner of the selected report.

Also, you can try zooming in your report to the appropriate percentage to view the reports you want to review appropriately.

If you wish to personalize your reports in QBO, you can visit this article: Customize reports in QuickBooks Online.
