To begin with, let us understand the two processes that might fit your business needs. If your customer immediately pays for products or services, we can create a sales receipt.

 

On the other hand, if you plan to get paid in the future for products and services you sell, you can send your customers an invoice. We can then create a Receive Payment transaction once your customer pays for it

 

However, if your customers have outstanding balances or invoices that will soon be overdue, creating a customer statement is the best option.

 

Additionally, you can also receive retainers or deposits from customers before performing any services without creating customer sales receipts, invoices, and customer statements.
