trail balance by location

How I can activate the trial balance report be classified by location?

    Hi there, ayah-abdullah202

     

    I'm jumping onto this thread to share some details about customizing reports in QuickBooks Online.

     

    The Trial Balance report displays only the total amount in the debit and credit column for each account. It isn't possible to customize it the same as the other report.

     

    Alternatively, you can export the report to excel. Then, manually customize it from there. Just follow these easy steps:

     

    1. From the Trail Balance report window, enter the reporting period.
    2. Click the Export icon, then select Export to Excel.
    3. In the Excel spreadsheet, you can remove information you don't want to include in the report.

     

    Also, I'll personally send feedback to our software engineer. This way, they might consider adding this feature to future product updates.

    I have some information about the trial balance report by location. Currently, the option to pull up this type of report is unavailable. If you want to see the accounts by location, you'll want to open the Profit and Loss by location report instead.

     

    To get there, here's how:

     

    1. Go to Reports.
    2. Enter Profit and Loss by Location in the search field.
    3. Select the Customize button.
    4. Filter the Distribution Account drop-down. See the image below.
    5. Click Run report.
