So the company I work for now is using Housecall pro and they transfer everything to quick books so the accountant they were using used sage because the girl before didn’t know how to use quickbooks . So when I go to print the income statement hardly any of the accounts are on it. Like what the accountant used in sage. I have only reconciled this year. But my boss is wanting a detailed income statement but because the accountant didn’t enter anything in quickbooks the numbers are different

Hello there, jsnas12106. I'm here to lend a hand.

In QuickBooks Online (QBO), there's a report called Profit and Loss Detail that provides a detailed overview of your income, expenses, and net income, including individual transactions. It's important to note that the information displayed on the report reflects the transactions entered into your QBO account. If your accountant didn't input any data into QuickBooks, this could be the reason for the discrepancies in the amounts.

To get this resolve, you can manually enter the transactions. If the transactions are already in QuickBooks due to the transfer you mentioned, you simply need to categorize them correctly into their respective accounts.

Once everything is set, here's how to pull up the detailed Profit and Loss report:

  1. On the left of your QuickBooks Online (QBO), click Reports.
  2. Select the Profit and Loss Detail report under the Business overview section.
  3. Modify the Reporting period and Accounting method.
  4. Click Run report.

For more information on running and customizing reports, you can refer to the following articles:

If you ever need to export your report to Microsoft Excel, you can refer to this detailed guide: Export your reports to Excel from QuickBooks Online.
