Trial Balance incorrect amounts

I want to ensure you can access the Trial Balance report in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

Do you mean the As of December 31, 2022, appear in the Trial Balance report window? If so, it means the report is being generated as of the end of December. To include the entire year's data, adjust the report settings to specify the date range from January to December.

Here's how:

1. Go to the Reports menu.
2. Type Trial Balance in the search bar.
3. Set the Report period to Last Year.
4. Hit Run report.
   

Furthermore, you can click the amount to view the transactions.

If the issue persists, let's perform basic troubleshooting steps. You may have accumulated too much historical data. Whenever you visit a website, it saves some information from the web page in its cache and cookies. These files allow the websites you visit most often to load faster. Not to worry, clearing them will do the trick.

First, let's try accessing your account through an incognito window to rule out the possibility of a webpage issue. You can refer to these shortcut keys to open an incognito window in all supported browsers:

• Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
• Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
• Safari: Command + Shift + N

Once done, pull up the report again. If it works, switch back to your regular browser. Then, clear its cache. This way, you can access QuickBooks with a clean slate. You can also use a different supported one.

You can also export the data if you need to change the fonts, colors, or other aspects of the visual appearance.

A trial balance is a snapshot of your general ledger debits and credits at one point in time.  In QBO, it is the balances as of the ending date of the report.  The starting date on the trail balance report is irrelevant.
