Question

Under Sales then Customers, I click on a specific customer name to see their open invoices. The open invoices are there but no invoice date. Why is it doing this?

It happened after the last update and no one could properly answer it.  I logged in and out a few times and it was back.  Now that's not working.  They recently did an update

I'm here to provide troubleshooting steps to help you get back to working order, @msclean.

First of all, make sure to turn on the service date feature in the accounts and settings.

Here's how:

  1. Click the Gear icon, then select Accounts and Settings
  2. Navigate to Sales and then locate Sales form content
  3. Click the Pencil, then toggle the Service Date
  4. Once turned to green, click Done

After this, go to Custom Form Styles and ensure that the date is included in the template.

Here's how:

  1. Go to Custom Form Styles, click New Style, and choose Invoice
  2. You can select any template, then go to Content.
  3. Click the body, then toggle the Date.

Once done, you can now create an invoice with a service date or date field.

I’m not creating a new invoice.  I’m looking at the invoices in the customers account to apply payment.  Do I need to see the posted invoice date to do so.  Why is it not there suddenly again?  The columns are once again partially cut off.  This happened last time Quickbooks did an update l.  Then I messaged on here and everyone said it’s there as always.  It wasn’t but then suddenly appeared.
