Vendor sold new vendor setup today. try to change old vendor to new on inv entered a month ago it changes amt. is it the as of date for new vendor? how to change date?

Hello there, office2. I'm here to help you change your as-of-date on your inventory.

The option to modify the as-of-date for the old inventory is unavailable. Since this date automatically reflects when the tracking started.

First, let's create the new Vendor

Here's how:

1. Click + New.
2. Under Vendors, select Add vendor.
3. Fill in the information needed and you can choose the as of date.
4. Click Save.

Once added, you can now merge the old and new vendors. Keep in mind that merging vendor profiles is permanent. You can't undo this later on. 

Next, you can click from the action column to edit the date of the Product and services.

1. Go to Sales, then click Products & services.
2. Look for your inventory name and then select Edit.
3. In the Preferred Vendor drop-down, choose the new vendor.
4. Under Quantity on hand, select Starting value.
5. Click Got it.
6. You can now set the As of date and the Initial cost.
   
7. Select Save and close.
