We have QuickBooks Desktop Pro. How do we generate a list of checks issued in a given period in a CSV format to upload to our bank for Positive Pay verification?

To create positive pay files directly from your QuickBooks Desktop company file, use our BRC PositivePay file Creator - QB Desktop  app.  It supports well over 100 bank file formats and you can create your own custom file formats as well, both CSV ad TXT.

Hi rweber,

 

You can import bank transactions into QuickBooks Desktop. From there, checks issued will be uploaded and generated in your register. 

 

Beforehand, install the QuickBooks Import Excel and CSV toolkit. This toolkit contains a manual guide. I'll show you how.

 

  1. Open the file download window for the toolkit and then select Save.
  2. Go to your Windows Desktop and select Save.
  3. Double-click QuickBooks_Import_Excel_and_CSV.exe on your Windows desktop to open the WinZip Self-Extractor window.
  4. Choose Browse, select the folder where you want to install the toolkit (such as your Desktop) and click on OK.
  5. Select Unzip to extract the contents and select Close to close the WinZip Self-Extractor window.
  6. Open the QuickBooks Import Excel and CSV folder from the location you selected in step 4.

Then, follow the steps in in this article to import the CSV file: Import/export CSV files. This link provides other data types you can import into QuickBooks.

This is my issue as well...but i cannot find the QuickBooks Import Excel and CSV toolkit.

I have Desktop Pro 2020 and for the life of me i cannot find any reference to a "File Download"

Is it in the program or do you have to go a website to get ?

You'll have to download the tool kit file, Juice.

 

This file will automatically route you to the QuickBooks_Import_Excel_and CSV.exe window. Once downloaded, you'll have to choose which folder you'd want it to be saved. Let me guide you with these details:

 

  1. Download the toolkit.
  2. In the WinZip Self-Extractor window, click Browse.
  3. Choose where you want to save the file.
  4. Click OK.
  5. Select Unzip, and then OK.
  6. Click Close.

Does it support Payee Match as well? Started using your free trial but can't seem to generate a file that includes the vendor's address.
