Question

We use to be able to scroll down to the bottom of an invoice and see if customer reviewed it. That option is gone. Why?

I understand that changes can be confusing sometimes, genesfc25 . No worries, I'm here to help you view your invoice activity in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

The ability to view invoice activity is still available. However, our system updates from time to time, and there were changes made. As of this moment, it's no longer viewed from the invoice page directly. Instead, here's how to check if your customer viewed the invoice:

  1. Go to Sales, then select Invoices.
  2. Click any invoice, and under Invoice activity, you can see that the invoice got Viewed.

I've attached a screenshot for your visual reference.

In addition, I've included an article that you can check so you'll be guided on how to record invoice payments in QuickBooks Online.

Let me know if you need guidance or other concerns related to invoices. I'm always here to lend a hand. Take care.

There are about a dozen threads on this board about this issue. Please search them up and add your input. The short answer is that the feature to be able to see your invoice's activity on the invoice has been removed. It was on purpose. It is not a bug. QBO is convinced that it makes much more sense to make you leave the invoice, open the Sales tab, search the invoice there, then open up the invoice's history on a separate tab.

The simple feature was removed from the invoices late 2023 and has received nothing but negative feedback. Please add your feedback to some of the threads that already exist and maybe help get QBO to take it seriously.
