As additional option, explore a 3rd party payment service to process your online bill for free or pay with credit card even if the vendor doesn’t accept credit cards.

I have online bill pay through my bank.  I pay nothing for this service.  Why is qbs charging $.99 per transaction?  How do I cancel this bill pay service through qbs./   I will not pay that ridiculous fee.

I'm here to guide you in canceling your subscription, eme6890.

 

The Online Bill Pay app (powered by Bill.com) charges  $0.99 per ACH transaction and $1.99 per check. If you wish to cancel your account, you can go to the Pay Bills Online page. Before diving in, please make sure that you don’t have any pending transactions.  Once you're ready, here's how to do it:
 

  1. Click the + New button.
  2. Select Pay Bills Online.
  3. On the Pay Bills Online page, select the Gear icon. Then, choose Cancel Subscription.
  4. Enter your cancelation reason, then click Cancel now.
  5. You'll receive an email once the cancelation is complete.

By the way, we also have an embedded bill payment tool in the program that can help you in managing your cash flow. With the new Bill Pay powered by Melio, you'll get the option to schedule and pay bills right from QuickBooks Online via bank transfer and debit card for free.

 

You can use this feature to pay any bill from the Expenses page or on your Pay Bills list. Simply click the Save and schedule payment button upon creating new bills to start the experience right away.

    Hello all! For anyone joining this conversation, I wanted to include some updated information about the other bill pay option in QuickBooks, Melio. 

     

    The Bill Pay service by Melio doesn't carry any extra subscription fees. It's included within your current QuickBooks Desktop or QuickBooks Online product.

     

    For standard payments made via bank transfer (ACH), you won't be charged any transaction fees. For Debit or Credit Card payments, you'll be charged a 2.9% transaction fee (effective 6/15/22), billed separately from the original payment by Melio.

    For our expedited payment options, here are the associated fees:

     

    • Fast ACH*: 1% of total transaction amount
    • Fast Check: $20 flat fee

     

    *Note: The Fast ACH feature is currently being rolled out in phases to select customers.

    I understand that standard payments made via bank transfer (ACH), you won't be charged any transaction fees. For Debit or Credit Card payments, you'll be charged a 2.9% transaction fee (effective 6/15/22),

    Will the party I am paying be charged a fee?
    Will my bank still charge me a fee?

    Is the ACH more or less an instant transferr like it is when I make them at my bank?
