What to do when my vendor does not have an email account for bill pay.

Thank you for reaching out to the Community, pureessence. Allow me to answer your question about paying vendors who do not have an email account.

 

An email account is primarily asked for so the system can send notifications to your vendor about the scheduled payments.

 

If the payees do not have an email account, you can manually inform them about the payment status since both of you will receive the notification.

Why does your vendor need to provide their email account?

Good afternoon, @Scott12345678. 

 

We appreciate you coming to the Community! Let me provide you with some information to help you get pass adding an email with a vendor. 

 

The email is required due to the vendor being able to get notifications. However, some users have found it helpful to use their own email. 

 

This will allow you get the email and not have the vendor's information listed.

I feel it would be better if you guys made it optional...  Correct me if I'm wrong, but the system will already send ME an email.  Why would I want to get 2 emails?   I guess I could create a throw-away email account, but that just seems silly.
