Question

When creating an invoice using item cost of less than 1.00, such as .50, the total cost for that line item is not calculated any more. This just started happening Friday

It works fine when invoicing any items with cost over 1.00 or more.

    I want to ensure your item cost will be calculated when creating invoice in QuickBooks Online (QBO). Let's perform some troubleshooting steps to get this fixed. 

     

    There are times when the browser you're using has data issues, thus causing QuickBooks to act weirdly. To verify, let's log in to your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account using a private browser. To do so, press this shortcut key on your keyboard:

     

    • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
    • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
    • Safari: Command + Option + P

     

    If this works, you need to clear the browser's cache so the system can start fresh. If you get the same result while using a private browser, I suggest switching to a different supported browser.

    None of these suggestions work.  I tried with the private browser, invoices did not calculate correctly.  I cleared the cache from my browser (Microsoft Edge), that did not help.  I also tried logging into QBO using Google Chrome and invoices still not calculating costs correctly.  Also, my sales staff is using Microsoft Bing at a different location and they are having the same problem.  Any additional assistance would be greatly appreciated.  I will be happy to provide a video if that would show what is happening.  Thank you!

    1. Go to Help.
    2. Select the Search tab, then choose Contact Us.
    3. Type in your issue or concern in the field.
    4. Hit Continue.
    5. Click the Chat or Callback option.
