Question

When entering item details for an invoice, the drop down list I have used for years is no longer there. Do I need to recreate that in Products and Services now?

You don't need to recreate your Product and Services to show your item details, userlean. I'm here to help you fix this matter.

 

There's a possible reason that the item is inactive, so let's double-check it to ensure it's not inactive. 

 

Here's how:

  1. Go to Sales, and select Products & services.
  2. Click the funnel icon (see the screenshot below for where to find it). 
     

  3. Select Inactive.
  4. Click Apply.
  5. Look for the item you need.

 

If you see an inactive item, we need to make it active so that it'll appear on the Product and Services.

 

Afterward, let's check again your Invoice to check if the item details appear. Also, you can type your item in the space provided under the Product and Services.

 

If it doesn't appear, we can perform some troubleshooting steps to ensure that this has something to do with your browser. Let's open your account in incognito mode. 

 

Here's how to access incognito mode in some of the most commonly used web browsers:

  •  Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Option + P

 

If you're able to see the item details by browsing privately, it's safe to say that it's being caused by the browser. It can be fixed by clearing your cache and cookies.

 

In the event it continues occurring while using incognito, you'll initially have to try switching to another browsing application.
