Question

When I send an invoice the "Ways to Pay" includes credit cards. How do I change this to eliminate credit cards but leave the pay by bank option?

This was a matter of checkboxes in the old quickbooks format, but I see no way to change this under the new.

Hello there, wcurtis.

When you enable payments in QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE), your customers can choose to pay invoices using online cards or bank transfers. However, at the moment, there is no option to remove credit cards as a payment method.

We understand that having this option would be beneficial for you and your business. We value your input and encourage you to provide feedback so that our engineers can consider adding this feature in future updates.

Here's how to submit:

  1. In QBSE, click the Assistant icon.
  2. In the chat box, type "send feedback."
  3. Select Add a feature.
  4. When asked, we can type something like "remove credit card option for invoice payments."
  5. Send the input, then click Yes.

To learn more about managing invoices in QBSE, check out this article for future reference: Create invoices in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

Please let me know if you have more questions about this or anything else. I'm always here to assist. Keep safe.

This was an available option for years under hte old Quickbooks freelance. It's not like you don't have the technology. I imagine that Quickbooks takes a cut of the cut out of my payment via credit card , so has no incentive to change the system.

You should be ashamed.   This was always an option, and now you've deleted it because you make money on credit card payments (but not on bank transfers).  You're forcing small businesses to lose revenue by taking away the option we've always had not to accept credit card payments.
