Question

When preparing an estimate, it lists several credit cards on the estimate. I don't accept credit cards. Can I remove this? It does not give me an option when creating it.

Hi there, userjoseph.gore. I understand you want to remove the credit card option when creating an estimate.

Before anything else, are you referring to invoices? If so, yes, you can remove the credit card option. I'd be happy to guide you on how to do it.

If you've subscribed to QuickBooks Payments, here's how:

  1. Hover to the Gear icon and select Account and Settings.
  2. Click the Sales tab and tap the pencil icon in the Invoice payments section
  3. You can check and uncheck the Credit Card and ACH payment methods. Uncheck it if you want to remove it or turn it off.
  4. After that, click Done to save the current changes.

On the other hand, if you don't have a QuickBooks Payments subscription, you can turn off the invoice payment by unchecking the Cards and Bank Transfer option in the Online Payments section.

I've included a screenshot for visual reference.

Moreover, if you've received a payment from your customer, you can record it in QuickBooks to mark the invoices as paid. This way, you can keep track of your business's financial transactions and maintain accurate records. Additionally, you can convert your estimate to an invoice to save you time from entering the same info twice. QuickBooks will automatically fill in the information and link them both.
